It hosts a natural, unspoilt beauty with many secret beaches, secluded spaces and permeates a sense of peace that you share with over 250 bird species, many of them migrants from the Northern Hemisphere that summer over in the West Coast National Park. I have also encountered a variety of animals in my visits over the years. (Eland, kudu, zebra, bontebok, duiker, ostriches, tortoises, puff adders, cobras and caracal)
Situated inside the Cape West Coast National Bisophere Reserve it forms part of the UNESCO and Biosphere Progamme and is well worth a visit.
