Just outside of Nieuwoudtville, Northern Cape, there is a Quiver Tree (Aloidendron dichotomum) forest. It is an interesting place and a challenge to try and capture the essence of it. As the trees are fairly spread out I wanted to compress the perspective and have wide angle look that covered the area. When I shot it I knew I was going to create a monochrome print but didn’t have an idea as to the direction it would take.
